Provide or e-mail as many photos as possible. JPEGs are preferred and should be at least 1MB in size for the best detail. If your pet has a favourite toy or a favourite place to sit or sleep, send photos. They don’t have to be in the same photo as your pet poses.
Portraits are available in black and white pencil or in earth tones with small amounts of colour where needed (areas like eye colour).
Prices (matted and ready for a purchased frame of a standard size):
5x7 (8x10 frame) 110.00 1 to 3 weeks
7x9 (11x14 frame) 150.00 1 to 3 weeks
I work from photos provided by you. Pictures are best taken at pet level rather than from above, unless that's the view you prefer. An angled pose looks best. The detail in the portrait depends of the quality of your photos so take them carefully.
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN TAKING PHOTOS:
· Keep the photo sessions short
· Use natural lighting without flash wherever possible
· Get in close so that your pet almost fills the frame
· Get down at your pet's eye level
· Choose photos that show your pet’s personality
